Solar and geomagnetic measurements give context for HF reception. They do not confirm a band opening or measure the station’s antenna.

THE STATION

Listening, decoding, sharing

01 / MERLIN

The radio gateway

Merlin hosts the station website and listening controls. Its HackRF One receives the selected radio session; the station also has a dedicated aircraft receiver.

02 / MUNINN

The satellite capture host

Muninn records scheduled satellite passes and processes the received signals into weather images or ISS channel recordings. Reception depends on the antenna, pass, and what is transmitting.

03 / PUBLISHED ARCHIVE

Real received images

The gallery shares processed satellite captures from the station. False-color images combine sensor channels, and partial scans are labeled so gaps remain visible.
